Every SBC International Mission Board Missionary/Missionary family has a portfolio of churches they are assigned to contact and build a relationship with.  This helps make things much more personal for churches - imagine having a specific missionary/family to pray for, year-round! Imagine sending birthday and Christmas cards to your missionary family!  Imagine that family visiting your church when they are in the states! The ABSC is helping facilitate the process!

You may ask - why have we not been contacted?  First, some of these assignments are still being made. Also, it may be possible that your missionary has retired or left the field.  And, it is very possible that attempts were made to contact your church, but the person contacted on your church's end may not have responded, or may have moved.
