Spring Outreach Strategy – Serve Local
Over the past 4 years, over 8,500 Arkansas Baptists have mobilized to serve their local communities on one specific date. For the Spring Outreach Strategy, churches are encouraged to select a day, or multiple days, during April 12-19 to serve their communities, meeting practical needs and strategically sharing the Gospel. Resources will include suggestions on identifying needs and evangelism resources.
3 Keys to a Successful Serve Local
1. Strategic Planning
Effective ministry doesn't happen by accident. It's important to strategize as you plan to serve your community. This starts by understanding key roles of event and ensuring leaders are equipped to carry out the event successfully.
2. Identify Local Needs
It's important to clearly identify real needs in your community. While the list below has lots of ideas, be sure that you are choosing to meet real needs in your context!
3. Evangelism Resources
If we aren't letting our acts service be a means for Gospel conversation, we are missing the point. We have several resources to help you make evangelism a priority at your Serve Local event. Please choose one of the resources below when you register as a participant in Spring Outreach Strategy.
