There are no Southern Baptist African American gospel-centered churches in this area. There is a population of just under 8,000 people in Stuttgart with the largest demographic being white at 56% and African American percentage at almost 40%. Although the African American demographic is a smaller percentage compared to some of the other needed African American church plants, there is still a huge need for an African American church in Stuttgart. The population of Stuttart is higher than most of the other Delta communities that are needing AA church plants, which means there are more African Americans in Stuttgart than some of the smaller communities needing an AA church compared to the percentage. There are about 3,000 or more African Americans who are not being intentionally reached for the gospel, and the church has a great opportunity to love these people and do outreach.
