There are no Southern Baptist African American gospel-centered churches in this area. There is a huge need for an African American church in DeWitt. With just under 3,000 people in population, the largest demographic is white at 66% with African American's at 21%. Even though African American's aren't the majority in DeWitt, there are still over 600 people who do not have anyone reaching them intentionally with the gospel. The church has a great opportunity to love these people and do outreach in this community among African Americans.
